Software update adds functionality

A software update for Optopol's Revo OCT is available

Version 10.0.0 of the software supporting Optopol’s Revo OCT has been made available from BIB Opthalmic Instruments.

Included in the update was posterior and anterior full range (FR) features. The posterior FR pushed the retinal (posterior B scan) from a 12mm line scan to 15mm. This increased visualisation by 25%, improving analysis and saving time.

An anterior chamber radial FR examination now provided complete visualisation of the anterior chamber, a world first, according to BIB. This offers a complete cataract, cornea and glaucoma analysis, measurement and recording. Scans are achieved without the use of any adaptor or additional forehead bar.

Also included was a DeNoise algorithm, which employed artificial intelligence to improve tomograms offering greater detail for clinical analysis.

The Revo biometry performance has also been improved. Along with axial length it now offered limbal and pupil measurements and the possibility of IOL calculations and formulas. Add-ons can be purchased for Hoffer Q, Holladay I, Haigis, Theoretical T and Regression II formulas.

Other improvements include a post tracking feature using the fovea or disc centre to help analyse difficult cases, updated and improved structure and function analysis and comparing 10/2, 24/2 and 30/2 visual field results (used with Optopol PTS visual field screeners) and improved auto fundus registration and correlation.
