Specialist Club deep dives on myopia

Positive Impact held a Specialist Club meeting on July 2 that was attended by 40 eye care professionals who learned more about myopia management.  

The keynote presentation was made by Professor Nicola Logan who reviewed the latest clinical data on myopia progression in children and young adults who wore spectacles and contact lenses.  

Speaker and practice director at TK&S in Northampton, Brian Tompkins, said: ‘The myopia control element of optometry is rarely covered to the degree that was featured at the Myopia Day. It was nice to see so many there who were engaged with the concept and now have different thinking about it. This emphasises that myopia management in practice has gone from correction to crucial.’
