A special tribute was paid to Ron Loveridge, former professional services manager for CIBA Vision UK, at the company's latest Specialist Club meeting this week.
Loveridge, who was responsible for setting up the Specialist Club, passed away last November, aged 59, after a short illness.
In a moving tribute, optometrist Andrew Gasson described how Loveridge managed to balance his skills as an educator and a clinician.
He demonstrated 'a renowned attention to detail' and was a 'company stalwart' during a number of employer incarnations, besides being a family man, husband, father to two daughters and, recently, a grandfather too.
