A regional campaign by vision charity Sightsavers to raise £100,000 within five years has reached Brighton, where a practice called Specs has vowed to donate 10 per cent of sales from a different designer brand of glasses each month.
Funds raised in the Sussex-wide campaign will go towards treating 400,000 people for vision related problems, performing 15,000 cataract operations and treating 10,000 people with antibiotics for trachoma in Zambia over the next half decade.
Specs owner Will Fletcher (pictured) said: 'It really is a win-win situation - we feel good, our customers love it and we are making a real difference to the lives of people in Zambia.'
