The Scottish FA and its official sponsor Specsavers have introduced vanishing spray during the William Hill Scottish Cup fixtures before it will be rolled out across all of the country’s senior leagues and cup competitions.
Used by referees to help mark the required distance of 10 yards between the ball and opposition players in a set piece scenario, vanishing spray won widespread approval when it made its debut in the World Cup last year. It is now used in 13 countries around Europe.
