Capturing the image of rural life in France, Specsavers’ latest TV commercial for a new online booking system aired during the first episode of ITV’S The Voice on Saturday January 7.
Filmed on location in Provence, the commercial portrays a visually-impaired repairman being sent to the cellar of a French chateaux to drain a suspect boiler with disastrous consequences, after he instead dispenses of some finest vintage.
The in-house ad was created in partnership with Daniel Kleinman, who last worked with Specsavers in 2012 on the Angry Chef commercial featuring Gordon Ramsay.
Specsavers creative director Graham Daldry said: ‘We’re confident Boiler will keep up the momentum of the Should’ve strapline. Now in its 15thyear, it’s clear the Should’ve line has well and truly stood the test of time.’
Supported by multi-platform digital activations, the 60, 40 and 30-second edits will be shown across national TV and cinema.
