School children in Hertfordshire have been educated about the importance of eye health during a visit by two local eye care practitioners.
Amer Choudhry and Marlise Wilkinson of Specsavers Letchworth visited the children at St Christopher’s School, where they explained the workings of the eye and demonstrated an eye examination procedure using a mobile testing kit.
Choudhry said: ‘It was great to visit St Christopher’s School and meet the bright, young pupils there. They were really receptive and they enjoyed the presentation.’
Specsavers stores nationwide were offering similar school visits using the group's iSpy teaching resource pack, a statement added.
