Optometrist Saleem Patel has been victorious in Specsavers' annual digital photography competition.
Patel, director at Specsavers Witham, took the company's anterior image award for his image showing traumatic cataract and mydriasis.
Joint winners of the fundus image prize were Mandy Murton, customer service advisor at Specsavers Witham, and Andrew Farren, retail manager at Specsavers Stowmarket.
The winners, picked from around 200 entries, each received a digital camera worth £600. Specsavers director of clinical services Simon Williams said: 'There were some unusual and interesting examples of pathology captured and every image showed initiative and potential but, as this was a competition, we had to select those which really stood out as being exceptional.'
