Rollout of OCT devices across Specsavers’ network is progressing well
A rollout of OCT devices across Specsavers’ practice network is progressing well, with 200 locations set to have the technology installed by the end of September.
In May 2017, the multiple announced that every practice would have an OCT within two years.
Specsavers director of professional advancement Paul Morris said: ‘The rollout is underpinned by significant investment in mandatory training for all clinical and support staff before OCT is installed and continuing mentoring afterwards.
‘Partners have a good choice of devices from our preferred suppliers Nidek/Birmingham Optical Group and Heidelberg Engineering and they are making their choice according to their local needs.’
