Specsavers co-founder and chairman Doug Perkins (right) has been awarded an honorary doctorate from Anglia Ruskin University at a ceremony for the Faculty of Science and Technology.
The award was given in recognition of his 'pioneering development of the British optical industry, particularly in respect of the provision of affordable eye care, and his major contributions to charitable organisations.'
