Specsavers has ranked highly in a customer satisfaction list compiled across different retail sectors.
The latest UK Customer Satisfaction Index, released by the Institute of Customer Service this month, placed Specsavers seventh out of 50 overall retailers in the multiple’s first year of participating. Non-optical retailers John Lewis, Amazon and First Direct ranked highest of the brands shoppers were surveyed on.
Specsavers was the only standalone optical firm to be included in the index, but the wider Boots group was positioned 16th in the top 50 list – 28 places higher than last year.
Businesses from 13 different sectors were rated on professionalism, quality, efficiency, ease of doing business, timeliness, problem solving and complaint handling.
Jill Clark, Specsavers' director of customer services, said: ‘We are delighted to see the results of this Index as we always welcome feedback that can help us to maintain and build on our high standard of customer service.
‘Specsavers has invested a huge amount of time focusing on service, which we consider to be of paramount importance. We serve a huge amount of customers, but we aim for every individual to get a personal, friendly and expert service. Our stores have been working towards this by gaining feedback on customers about what we can improve - and their hard work is paying dividends.’
