Specsavers collaborated with the Welsh choir, Côr Meibion Bro Glyndŵr, in a campaign to encourage to turn to opticians before the GP for eye concerns in Wales.
The choir's performance circulated social media on November 6 as part of an advertising campaign.
The campaign launched following poll results of 1,000 adults in Wales, which found that half would first contact another NHS service before their local optician; only 22% said they would visit an optician for sudden red or sore eyes and 15% for swollen eyelids. While more than a third (35%) were unaware an optician provided care for these issues, and a quarter were concerned they’d have to pay for treatment.
