Stout buys Swansea practice

New owner for Swansea practice Bater Opticians, as Tony Stout purchases the outlet

Swansea practice Bater Opticians has been acquired by one of its practitioners, optometrist Tony Stout who joined in 2001 and has over 30 years’ experience in the profession.

The Morriston practice, established in 1986 and with a staff of eight, will be rebranded as Bater and Stout Opticians, with all of its practitioners remaining in their roles. The outlet, with associated sites in Gorseinon and Singleton Hospital, would maintain full patient continuity after the acquisition. Optometrist and former owner Lindsay Bater (left) pictured with Sheraz Akram (centre) and Stout outside the practice, will continue specialising in contact lenses and treatment of the effects of vision on dyslexia.
