Leightons Opticians officially opened its new-look practice in London’s Putney last week with a launch event attended by representatives of major suppliers to the company. Speaking at a celebratory dinner at The Saatchi Gallery on the King’s Road, CEO Ryan Leighton (centre) said the company had a new vision which could be seen with the totally remodelled Putney franchise owned by Renee Bansal (left).
He explained how research with Carl Zeiss had prompted Leightons to come up with the new practice design, developed with German interior design company Heikaus with the aim of appealing to 30-49 year-olds. Leighton added that as well as a new, fresher logo, a new website had been launched, with e-commerce to come. Among the guests were representatives of Marchon, Maui Jim, Mykita, Carl Zeiss, Birmingham Optical and Sauflon – which was represented by managing director Bradley Wells (right).
