SunSensors' point-of sale material is designed for a rapid response

Corning has released new point-of-sale material for its SunSensors lenses.

The pack now features a poster, leaflet holder, patient leaflets, a technical brochure and lens samples. Corning has announced that an ultra-violet demonstrator will be available later this summer. SunSensors are a new mid-index (1.56) resin photochromic lens in grey and brown which can achieve 33 per cent light transmission factor (LTF) within one minute. It is lighter than polycarbonate at 1.17g/cm3. The lenses are hard-coated as standard. The photochromicity is a mixture within the lens and not a surface treatment. SunSensors are activated by UV light and are temperature dependent. Corning says the grey lenses can, in certain conditions, achieve filter category 4 (8 per cent LTF) performance. They are compatible with an AR coating and are a uniform colour and transmit even for high prescriptions. - For further details contact The Norville Group on 01452 318130.
