This Sunday - July 1 - the vast majority of England's workplaces and enclosed public spaces will become smoke-free as the 2006 Health Act comes into force.

The government's latest research shows that 95 per cent of the population are keen for the measures to be in place.

Over the past four weeks Optician has covered the smoking ban and its impact, and how practitioners can become more involved. This week, we publish a poster for use in practice. It aims to highlight the devastating impact smoking can have on vision, and prompt more dialogue between patients and practitioners on the subject.
