AIO welcomes Specsavers plans to add OCTs to its UK practices
The Association for Independent Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians (AIO) has broadly welcomed Specsavers plans to add OCTs to its 740 UK practices.
It suggested the announcement might prompt patients to look for those practices already offering OCT.
‘That Specsavers has decided to offer more sophisticated clinical services is to be welcomed and good for the eye health of the nation, and is in so many ways an endorsement of what the independent sector has been offering for years,’ an AIO statement added.
