DW Harrison Optometrists in March, Cambridgeshire invited Stephen Barclay, newly elected MP for North East Cambridgeshire, to visit the practice to learn about the key issues facing eye care professionals and patients.
Barclay heard from optometrist and practice owner Vikesh Measuria about the extensive eye care services available at the practice and at consultant-led specialist centres in the area.
Six patients from the practice also explained how they each had sight-threatening conditions which could have left them blind had they not been detected at an early stage by Measuria.
Barclay is pictured (third from right) with Measuria (far left). Also pictured are hospital optometrist Wendy Newsom, local GP Dr Mather and patients.
