British bespoke eyewear brand TD Tom Davies once again created a special window display at its Sloane Square practice for Chelsea in Bloom (May 20-25).
After winning the Chelsea in Bloom Innovation Award in 2017, Tom Davies teamed up with florist Elizabeth Marsh to create a display inspired by the underwater world and the need to conserve and protect oceans. The wall featured blue floral elements to represent the movement of water over a bed of sand, coral, seaweed and various oyster shells made from recycled plastic, moss and flowers. A wave created with blue and white flowers can also be seen on the top of the shop front crashing into the store.
‘Since positive luxury and sustainability are a main focal point for me, I wanted to connect it to this year’s theme. So I designed an exclusive range of frames that have been handcrafted with recycled premium acetate. These frames are made from the 75-80% of acetate raw material that is normally wasted during production,’ said CEO Tom Davies.
