The ethics of eyewear

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, sustainable eyewear brand Monkey Glasses has released the AW19 collection.

It is the latest addition to Monkey Glasses’ portfolio, which operates a zero-waste policy, uses recycled paper packaging, biodegradable cotton acetate, recycled steel and donates to a wide range of environmental organisations.

The models within the new collection are characterised by large silhouettes fronts that come in a range of interesting shapes, from on-trend cat’s eye designs to thicker hexagonal models. They are made using either steel or acetate and styles focus on simplicity and efficiency that resemble the company’s commitment to efficient resource use.

Both male and female patients will find appealing options among the new designs and can be enthused that they are buying into environmentally responsible eyewear.
