Theo adds mathematical solution

Frames

Belgium frame firm Theo is launching retro-inspired frames by creating its own version of the prevailing 'nerd trend', VinGtage, with a tongue in cheek influence of mathematics.

There are four titanium designs and five acetates in sparkling colours, all of which carry mathematical symbols. The bicoloured VinGtage models can be recognised by the mathematical symbols on the fronts and the sidepieces which contrast sharply with the frame. Symbols for division, intersection, absolute value and square root are used.

The Septante models (1 and 2) are made of acetate the Huitante models from titanium. In the latter, decorative rivets are milled out and filled with epoxy resin so that they acquire a glazed appearance that contrasts with the titanium frame.
