
An emergency fund for services providing support to people living with sight loss during the coronavirus pandemic has been launched by the Thomas Pocklington Trust.
The charity has made £500,000 available with grants of up to £10,000, or the equivalent of two months’ running costs, for use over the next six months.
Charles Colquhoun, CEO at Thomas Pocklington Trust, said: ‘We have been speaking to our friends and partners across the sector, listening to their concerns and understanding the essential role these organisations play in supporting blind and partially sighted people, we have suspended our normal grant funding activities and set up this emergency fund.’
