Tie is badge of membership

A new tie has been designed for members of the Federation of Manufacturing Opticians.

The tie has diagonal coloured stripes to represent the FMO's three focus groups on frames, lenses and equipment and includes the organisation's logo.

FMO chairman John Conway said: 'We are an organisation which is closely followed, here in the UK and around the world, and yet our members do not have a badge of any kind. What better way to address that than with a British-made tie which is set to become a clearly recognisable symbol of the fraternity of manufacturing optics. '

Ties can be purchased for £10 from the FMO office.
