Optical body FODO has announced that dispensing optician Glenn Tomison has re-joined its board as lead director for individual members.
It follows the organisation's decision last year to open membership to individuals for the first time.
FODO chair Jayne Rawlinson said: 'Glenn will do a brilliant job networking with, and representing the views of, individual members at our board level. Not only is Glenn an individual FODO member, but he has unrivalled experience across the optical sector. He works on the front line and understands the issues of front-line practitioners.'
Tomison was a member of the board from 2002-2006 and vice chairman in 2006.
Tomison added: 'I am delighted to be re-joining the FODO board. There is so much to do and to achieve for our sector and bringing FODO individual members' voice to the board table is a great honour.'
