Topcon has been announced as a major sponsor of the education programme at Optrafair which takes place at the National Exhibition Centre near Birmingham next April (18-20).
Delegates attending the three-day event will be able to choose from a range of CET accredited modules delivered by respected educators, well-known business leaders and optical manufacturers. The methods of education on offer include seminars, equipment workshops, peer review and a poster trail.
Linda Ford, General Optical Council (GOC) head of education & standards said: 'Interactive CET encourages registrants to learn from each other’s skills and experience to improve their own practice. We’re extremely keen for registrants to discuss their practice with their peers which is why they must now earn at least 50 per cent of their CET points through interactive learning methods. Workshops provide an ideal opportunity for registrants to meet this requirement.'
