Transitions Optical releases lens training material

Transitions Optical has developed a series of 10 short online videos to help practitioners increase their knowledge and confidence in dispensing photochromic lenses.

Exploring different areas of selling and buying a Transitions lens, the videos look at instances where patients require additional information to make an informed choice. This content ranges from features, benefits and the recommendation process.

Two videos focus on added value positioning. Another is about the concept of premium lenses.

‘Transitions lenses costs more than a standard clear lens but when the long list of benefits are properly explained the “feeling” of expense is understood,’ said the company.

Another tranche of videos reviews the selling process. Two detailing how to ask patients questions about their lifestyle in relation to their visual needs and then create a dialogue which the company said would lead to an effective and relevant recommendation.
