Transitions is making tens of thousands of free eye test vouchers available to support its schools eye care campaign which starts in September.
The free eye test vouchers are within the packs it is sending out as part of its Eye Know Eye Care schools campaign and it hopes highlighting free eye tests for children will encourage more parents to get their kids' eyes examined.
Despite the fact that free eye examinations are available from most optical practices, Roland Allen, Transitions business director northern Europe, said it would reinforce the eye care message within the campaign, highlight NHS entitlement and increase the take up of children's eye examinations. It would also give the parents a physical reminder about the test and its free availability.
