Two members of staff at Robert Stanley Opticians have taken early retirement after 77 and a half years of service between them.
Robin Welton, executive director, completed 47 years and six months, while Karen Welton, branch manager of Headington, Oxford, had been with the company for 30 years.
John Edwards, chief executive, said that both had a wealth of experience and knowledge that would be missed.
He thanked them for their long service and wished them well for the future.
'Robert Stanley Opticians has changed and grown significantly over the last 53 years, and both Karen and Robin have played significant roles in the company's development.'
The company held a party at the end of August, that was attended by one of its founders, Wally Holland OBE.
