Vickers laboratories has secured £1m funding to expand its manufacturing of chemicals including a new monomer production facility to support growth in the global contact lens market.
The Leeds-based company said it was investing in the contact lens market, which it expected to have an annual growth rate of 10 per cent up to 2019.
Vickers managing director Steve Foster said: ‘These are exciting times for the business as we continue to expand and look for business opportunities, both in the UK and increasingly abroad.’
