CooperVision transforms manufacturing plant at Chandlers Ford

CooperVision has recently completed renovation work on a new 31,000 sq ft state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Chandlers Ford, Hampshire.

Describing the move as its latest phase of growth and investment, the company marked the completion of work on the building’s shell with a small opening ceremony, with a presentation and unveiling of an official plaque.

The old warehouse site was acquired by CooperVision in March 2013, with extensive renovation work starting in May 2013. The refit made use of 100 tonnes of steel to upgrade the portal frame and 250 tonnes of concrete to enhance the foundations.

Production is scheduled to start in 2015, with the production equipment now being installed and verified, with the latest technology for fast, high volume delivery.
