Contact lens manufacturer CooperVision has invested £15m in a new EMEA Commercial HQ and distribution facility at Delta Park in Hampshire.

The three-storey 150,000sq ft building, which will handle in excess of half a billion lenses over the next year, houses 500 staff and its adjoining warehouse will support all direct shipments to the UK, mainland Europe, Asia Pacific, Japan and Australia.

The company said the site was developed to handle expanding business and improve the flow of the product to the practitioner. It will be fully operational later this year.

CooperVision president EMEA Andrew Sedgwick said: 'Delta Park represents a significant investment, and demonstrates the confidence CooperVision has in continuing to expand in the European market. Our state of the art automated distribution system will enable us to provide an even better service to practitioners and meet their individual needs.'
