​Optics has no confidence in Capita, says Optical Confederation

Optics has no confidence in Capita, which should be stripped of its contract, said the Optical Confederation in a hard-hitting letter to NHS England chief executive Simon Stevens.

The Confederation said Capita should be relinquished of its duties for collecting past GOS claims immediately and set a date of June 2018 for resolution in delays in ophthalmic payment services. If that could not be achieved, it urged NHS England to consider finding another service provider.
