Vision correction company Ultralase has announced expansion plans at the same time as launching a Lifetime Care Guarantee which enables a second treatment or enhancement free of charge.
The firm opened a vision correction clinic in Glasgow last month and aims to open another five clinics before the end of 2007.
It claimed that the launch of its Care Guarantee Scheme meant it was the first in the market to demonstrate complete commitment to the safety and results of its treatment.
The scheme applies to Ultralase treatment for myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism. Ultralase said it was so confident of the success of its treatment that it was offering the Lifetime Care Guarantee to any patient it treated now or in the future, or even to those who had used their services over the past 15 years.
Managing director Tony Veverka said: 'Ultralase has just launched its very first clinic in Scotland and further expansion for 2007 is being planned. The Lifetime Care Guarantee is a continuous and critical part of our offer.'
Veverka added: 'We guarantee our patients receive the care required to manage their laser eye treatment. This includes any doctor or optometrist's clinical management in relation to the treatment we provide. This would include free re-treatment in the small percentage for whom laser is a two-stage process.'
