Charity Vision Aid Overseas has appointed David Scott-Ralphs as chairman. He has been a key figure in the sight loss sector since becoming CEO of SeeAbility nine years ago, said VAO.
Scott-Ralphs, also the current vice chairman of Vision 2020 UK, said SeeAbility had been doing similar work to VAO through its eye-2-eye campaign, which opened access to eye care in the UK for people with learning disabilities.
'This is another hard to reach group where it is again possible to transform lives through improving eye care systems,' he added.
