VAO fundraisers complete Great Ethiopian Run

A team of charity runners representing Vision Aid Overseas have completed the Great Ethiopian Run.

In total, 38 VAO fundraisers completed a 10k run through Addis Ababa, the highest city in Africa, last month. The team was the largest UK group to participate in the race, completed by 40,000 other runners 2,300 metres above sea level.

As Optician went to press the team had raised £73,000 to continue providing eye care in developing countries.
