International eye care charity Vision Aid Overseas has announced it will again send a team of runners to complete the Great Ethiopian Run this year.
On November 20 2016, volunteers will complete the 10k race through the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, Africa’s highest city, lying 2,300 metres above sea level.
In 2015, a group of 36 runners took part in the event for Vision Aid Overseas and managed to raise £90,000.
After the race, one participant said that the event was ‘profoundly life changing. An epic event and experience on every level’.
