Kodak Lens UK is sponsoring Vision Aid Overseas £4,000 to exhibit at Optrafair and publicise its work in the developing world.
Kodak Lens head of marketing Mark Ireland said: 'We believe it is important that Vision Aid Overseas is able to publicise its work at Optrafair, but it is important that its own funds are spent on charitable activity. By sponsoring VAO at the exhibition we will be helping them to stay at the forefront of UK optics.'
During 2007/2008 VAO is planning to increase its training and workshop development programme so that countries can work towards the Vision 20:20 objectives of eliminating avoidable blindness by 2020.
