VE brings through 67 apprentices

Vision Express has marked National Apprentice Week (March 9-13) by announcing the first graduates from its apprenticeship programme.

The scheme was launched last year and attracted 40 hopefuls for each place, a statement said, while the 67 apprentices who successfully completed the scheme have been offered full time, permanent posts as optical assistants.

They qualified with Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeships in Health (Optical Retail), to be presented at a ceremony in June.
