Vision Express has called on parents to put eye care at the top of back to school checklists with the launch of its Star Pupil competition.
The competition, held at 10 practices around the country, will see parents take home a professional photograph of their child and be given the option of a free eye test.
Children will then be entered into regional heats before an overall winner is chosen.
The multiple said its judges were looking for children aged three to 15 who had 'an eye for style and adored eyewear'.
