Preliminary unaudited figures for New York's Vision Expo East exhibition last month are 7 per cent higher than 2010 results. The 25th anniversary show featured 565 exhibitors and more than 300 hours of continuing education, which included sessions on macular degeneration and low vision. Tom Loughran, vice president for Reed Exhibitions, said: 'This year's 25th anniversary show was incredible. For three solid days our showfloor was buzzing with energy and international style that can only be found in New York. Our on-site feedback and attendance figures confirm that the Vision Expos remain the optical event for the Americas and are quickly gaining steam from international attendees.' Next year's exhibition will be held from March 23-25 at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center.
