Optical chains have this week thrown their weight behind campaigns to improve drivers’ vision and road safety

Optical chains have this week thrown their weight behind campaigns to improve drivers’ vision and road safety.

Vision Express has joined forces with the Road Haulage Association to urge motorists to safeguard their licences with an ‘eye health MOT’ for Road Safety Week 2015, between November 23-29.

One in five drivers avoided visiting an optician, even after noticing a problem with their vision, and one in eight admitted to driving without their glasses or lenses in the past year.

Vision Express has been offering free eye tests to drivers, rolling out its Vision Van mobile eye testing unit for a tour of UK service stations.
