Vision Express has appointed Bryan Magrath as the company's new chief executive officer.
Magrath, former group commercial director of PC World, has more than 20 years' experience in retail. He is set to join the company on November 19 for a three-month induction to ensure a successful transition of the management.
Current CEO Bernhard Nuesser will be returning to Vision Express' parent Grand Vision in March 2008. The company said he had successfully completed his five-year plan to turn Vision Express into a strong and profitable optical business.
Nuesser said: 'After five exciting and rewarding years at Vision Express it is time for me to move on. Vision Express is in stronger shape than ever in its history and we have solid foundations for future profitable growth.'
