A warning is issued over tumbling E visual acuity charts
A warning has been issued over tumbling E visual acuity charts following the discovery of a misprint that could impact the screening of people with diabetes.
NHS Diabetic Eye Screening Programme and the Screening Quality Assurance Service (SQAS) have issued advice on charts produced in the last year by Sussex Vision. The misprint meant two rows of the card uses the same font size but with a different number of characters.
‘We are conscious that other services may be using these cards and therefore ask that you review tumbling E cards in use by your service,’ said SQAS.
