
Ophthalmic pharmaceutical company Visufarma has partnered with social fintech Plastic Bank to prevent 17,215 kilograms of plastic from entering the ocean by using plastic waste as currency.
As part of a social recycling movement that also alleviates poverty, ocean stewards empower local entrepreneurs to establish collection branches, exchanging plastic for benefits and income.
Visufarma has also offset all CO₂e emissions through Carbon Neutral Britain’s Woodland Fund Portfolio of verified carbon offsetting projects around the world.
