Voucher bonus for BCLA conference early bookers

Delegates registering for this year's British Contact Lens Association annual clinical conference and exhibition can save up to &\#163;160 by returning their booking forms by February 21.

Those booking early benefit from a &\#163;100 conference discount voucher courtesy of contact lens manufacturer Vistakon, and there is a &\#163;60 reduction in the full delegate package fee for BCLA members. The 2000 conference, to be held at the Stakis Metropole Hotel, Birmingham from May 26-28, offers three days of College of Optometrists' approved lectures, clinical workshops and a busy social programme, as well as a manufacturers' exhibition. Registration includes attendance at the conference sessions, a welcome buffet, exhibitors' party, cocktail reception, gala dinner and lunches, and costs &\#163;270 for members booking before the February 21 deadline or &\#163;330 for non-members. Student, non-delegate, exhibitors' and day packages are available, and workshop sessions can also be booked in advance. Running on May 25 before the main BCLA programme will be a College-approved continuing education day on 'The cornea: examination in clinical contact lens practice' and a contact lens student day. The BCLA is also offering members discounts on delegate fees for these events. - For full details and registration, contact BCLA secretary Vivien Freeman on 0171 580 6661 or email vfreeman@bcla.org.uk.
