Optometrist Huw Owens has taken over A1 Eyewear based in Wrexham, Wales.
With the help of a £50,000 loan from the Development Bank of Wales and advice from Business Wales, Owens was able to purchase the practice on Charles Street, which was first established in 1986.
Owens has planned to further the development of eyecare services available at the practice. He said: ‘We will now be further developing our eyecare services and the range of eyewear that we provide including contact lenses, glasses and sunglasses.’
Anna Bowen, investment executive at the Development Bank of Wales, added: ‘Our micro loans offer affordable and flexible funding for entrepreneurs looking to start, buy or grow a business.
