Three in 10 drivers in their 20s have problems with their vision, according to research by Vision Express and the RAC.
Vision Express has launched a major campaign to drive eye test bookings at its 200 UK stores, in particular in the 20-29 age group. This followed research on vision and driving with PR and marketing agency Dig For Fire where almost 4,000 people were surveyed and interviewed by Tickbox.net and GfK NOP.
Sally Polak, campaign manager at Vision Express, said: 'The safety issues for motorists are a major impetus. Eighty two per cent of people say that sight is their most valued sense, yet around a quarter (23 per cent) admits to not going near an optician within the last two years.
