Wilkie’s Eyecare offers clinics for visual stress

An optical practice in the west of Scotland has introduced specialist provisions in its branches for visual stress sufferers as awareness increased of the discomfort it causes. 

Wilkie’s Eyecare was offering dedicated clinics at its practices in Alexandria, Bearsden and Dumbartonfor both children and adults for whom reading has previously presented immense difficulties. 

Nicola McDermid, an optometrist at Wilkie’s Eyecare Dumbarton branch, who oversaw the group’s service, said: ‘Happily, with the diagnostic tools which are now available to us in Wilkies, we are able to pinpoint issues much more accurately and offer treatment options.’
