Wooden performance from Rolf

Optician Awards Frame of the Year 2014 finalist Rolf Spectacles has added a new frame to its Main Wood collection. The Espada frame, named after the Lamborghini model released in the late 1960s, has a low-slung rectangular shape that apes the look of the classic Italian coupe.

The frame has a striking flat brow line which drops slightly around the lug. Intricate wooden hinges and a patented glazing system are just two of the technological innovations used to create the frame, which won a Best Design award at the recent Specs trade fair in Copenhagen.
