Young Optical has been appointed official distributor in the UK and Ireland for the Tokai range of Japanese-manufactured ophthalmic lenses.
The Tokai portfolio consists of standard mid and high-index multicoated lenses. Included is the HI-LD 1.55 lens, which the company states is the lightest material in existence, with a specific gravity of 1.08. Other options include the 1.67 AS high-index aspheric, the HI-LD Pro - a lightweight 1.55-index progressive, and the 1.60 and 1.67 Pro progressive addition lenses.
